About Me
HI! I am Lizzy, a wife and mom with three beutiful little kids all born within 3 years. I desperately want to teach my kids the love Jesus has for them, and that he is worth following no matter what the world around them may say. Truthfully, I had very little idea of how to actually do that or make the time to do that. As I write this I have a 4yo, 3yo, and 1.5yo. I am busy potty training, attempting to implement chores, teaching kids to respect each other's space and learn their ABCs. How do we (parents) teach our little children to be capable members of society while being anchored to Jesus?
I think the answer is to do our best to demonstrate how intricately woven Jesus is into each and every task, thought, and action of our days. This is where my problem came. The more I dove into shapes, numbers, and colors the less I remembered to mention Jesus. It is crucial to my children's future that Jesus receives more than a simple mention. I thought, "If I am going to teach counting to 5 why can't we count the stones David put into his satchel to kill Goliath? Then I can teach that too!"
With encouragement from a mom-friend and a lot of endurance from God, Pitter Patter Disciples was created. A simple, zero-prep resource teaching Bible stories, applicable take-aways like self-control and forgiveness, and scripture all in one place that also teaches preschool skills. I pray it shows us how we can begin to simultaneously coach these tiny humans into full-functioning adults who are well-rooted in Christ and prepared for daily life. The sweet sound of pitter-pattering feet carry so much capability. Teaching them where to direct their steps and who to follow begins today.
Thank you for investing your love, time, and care into these beautiful little ones. I am honored to be along for even a tiny sliver of their journey.
Let's talk soon!
Lizzy
